Fear The Walking Dead Season 8: Everything You Need To Know

Since “The Walking Dead” premiered on AMC in October 2010, the Robert Kirkman graphic novel adaptation has spawned a multimedia empire that includes spinoffs, video games, board games, and more.

In recent years, however, “The Walking Dead” franchise has approached the end of an era. “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” ended its two seasons.

The original “Walking Dead” TV series premiered its final season in August 2021, and AMC plans to conclude the series in 2022, starting in October.

While there are plans for three standalone Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) movies and a spinoff TV series starring fan favorites Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Pelletier (Melissa McBride), the only show that’s still alive is “Fear the Walking Dead.”

So far, “Fear the Walking Dead” has seven seasons. The good news is that AMC hasn’t left “Fear the Walking Dead” fans in suspense about the show’s future. The network officially renewed the series for its eighth season shortly after airing the first part of Season 7.

What Is The Difference Between The Walking Dead And Fear The Walking Dead?

What Is The Difference Between The Walking Dead And Fear The Walking Dead?
  • Fear The Walking Dead is a spinoff of The Walking Dead series. Main differences:
  • In TWD, the world is post-apocalyptic. Everything destroyed. In FTWD, everything is still present, The Army, television networks, traffic, etc.
  • In TWD, transports have collapsed, and gasoline is a rare item. In FTWD, there is gasoline, vehicles at will, including planes.
  • TWD has hordes of zombies. They are rare and usually eliminated in small numbers along the way. On the other hand, in FTWD, a single walker causes panic.
  • TWD has nature all around. In other words, generally, everyone is far from urban centers. FTWD is urban, with shops, traffic, and asphalt.
  • In TWD, we call the undead “walkers.” Everyone knows they are dead and don’t know why they keep walking around. In FTWD, the epidemic is still in its infancy, and it’s just a disease where the sick can be cured.
